I recently bought the new AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable, that was just released this past Monday, on April 15. AVerMedia took their internal Live Gamer capture card, and transform into a small portable nice piece of hardware for your recording needs to capture gameplay.

It is similar to the Elgato Game Capture HD, but one thing it separates from the Elgato, is the quick response, and very low latency. The AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable has less than a 300 ms lag, in comparison, the Elgato Game Capture HD has around a 1500 ms lag. Also, the AVerMedia can record PS3 footage at 1080p, where Elgato is limited at 720p.

Check out my unboxing below, and be on the look out when I will be streaming!
