Telltale games has been on the hush-and-hush when it comes to anything dealing with their video game adaption for Game of Thrones — until now. Today, Tellale unveiled the trailer for episode one, which is titled, Iron From Ice. Take time out and view the trailer in all of its majesty, below:
Though the trailer doesn’t really reveal anything spectacular, it does let us know that a few of the actors from the tv show will be reprising their roles for the game — since the trailer’s dark overtone was set by the narration of Lena Headey — the actress that portrays Cersei Lannister.
Since there were screenshot leaks that revealed a few of the tv show characters will be making appearances in the game, it’s safe to assume that those characters are going to be portrayed by the tv show’s actors as well. The revealed tv show actors that are involved, are as follows:
- Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage)
- Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer)
- Ramsay Snow (Iwan Rheon)
- Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey)
It appears as the game is going to run concurrently to the tv show and will take place in the same universe and is going to have more than one season, in part to a multi year deal that HBO struked.
Although we don’t have a release date for the first episode, Telltale usually reveals the release date a couple of days after revealing the episode’s trailer — so keep your eyes peeled for that.
The Game of Thrones is due to release on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC/Mac, iOS.
