After two seasons, Powers, the first original PlayStation Network series, has been cancelled.

Announced by head writer Brian Michael Bendis in a series of tweets on Wednesday, Bendis revealed that the superhero series would not be moving forward.

Loosely based on Bendis’s own 2000 Image Comics series of the same name, the series was Sony’s first foray into original televised content available on the PlayStation Network. First announced at Sony’s 2014 E3 press conference, the show was to be the gateway for original scripted content on the PlayStation Network. With it’s cancellation and no new series announced for Sony’s service, the future seems a bit bleak in regards to new programming on the network.

As for Powers fans, Bendis announced they can look forward to the series living on in comic-book form, with the story continuing on at Marvel.
