We all love video games. We all love art. We all love music. Better yet, we all love when the three collide.

The internet is a pretty magical place, and it’s been responsible for some rather unique treasures over the years. The latest little piece of delight comes in the form of a simple website, offering up a beautiful piece of Portal fan art — with a twist.

If you’re in the mood for a tiny piece of emotional torment, look no further. The website, put together by developer Nick Catalano, is a beautiful homage to the Portal series, featuring Chell artwork by Emmy Cicierega that’s tied together splendidly by The National and ambient rain sounds.

I know, it sounds weird on paper, but it’s something pretty magical. As The National’s Exile Vilify plays over a soft and atmospheric rain track, you can really feel a sense of calming beauty and relief. The artwork depicts the end of Portal 2, the moment where Chell is finally free of Aperture Laboratories. For the first time, we can actually feel a unique sense of peace and tranquility. It’s like the world has finally been set right.

But don’t just take my word for it, stop by the website and have a listen for yourself! The songs are both set on a loop, and the option to hide the interface really bring the experience to a whole new level.

Happy listening, nerds. And remember — it’s okay to cry.
