Last week, Nintendo released firmware 4.0 for the Switch. One of the biggest features was the ability to transfer accounts between Switches. Many have been waiting for something like this since the console’s release but something more major was in this latest update; the ability to use GameCube controllers. A video by GameXplain shows how this feature works.

This functionality is something that I thought Nintendo would announce during E3. The mapping doesn’t work perfectly because of some differences in buttons but this could be indicative of some future virtual console games. I need to test this out for myself. This will be a huge cost savings since i already own a few Gamecube controllers.
