Earlier today, we were treated to a couple of nice announcements from Nintendo, including the fact that Little Mac will be a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. He is the 23rd confirmed fighter for the game so far, so we may still have a couple more characters coming.

Along with that, a new trailer for the upcoming Bayonetta 2 was released, and I must say, it doesn’t look half bad. I wasn’t a big fan of the first one, but this one might make me a believer. You can check out the trailer here.

We also got some other news regarding games, I’ll try to detail as much as I can in the bullets below:

  • Kirby Triple Deluxe was given a spiffy new trailer, along with a release date of May 2. Nintendo showed off some of the collectibles found within, like the keychains, or the sun stones, that when collected, give you a boost in the game. You can view the trailer here.
  • Mario Golf: World Tour was also shown off, with a release date of May 2 as well. The trailer can be found here.
  • Yoshi’s New Island was talked about a bit more in depth. Along with some new things added to the game (Super Yoshi! Metal Eggdozers), we were also given a trailer.
  • Even though it had been out for nearly a year in Japan and Europe, the US will finally be getting Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy on February 28. They also showed off a trailer featuring Emmy.
  • Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was talked about briefly, just long enough for us to find out that it is coming stateside in early 2015, and that you will be able to play online with your friends.
  • Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze will be releasing a week from now, on February 21.
  • Mario Kart 8 had a nice new trailer, showing off some maps and racing action before revealing that all seven Koopalings will be playable for the first time. Mario Kart 8 will release on May 30.
  • Some E-Shop titles were announced as well. Steel Diver: Sub Wars was announced and will be available tonight.
  • Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball is a game in which you purchase mini-games centered around baseball, as well as haggle with the owner of the game shop to determine how much you’re going to pay for them in real life.
  • Pokemon Battle Trozei, a pokemon themed puzzle game, will release March 20, and the trailer can be found here.
