Fans of the mega popular baseball game series MLB: The Show will have to wait just a little bit longer to get their hands on this years version.
SCE San Diego, the developers behind the franchise, announced today that MLB 14: The Show will release on April 1 for PS3 and PS Vita users, with the next gen version coming in May. According to Sony, the reason for the delay was to make sure that all versions came with nearly the same features.
Along with having a brand new lighting engine for the PS4 version, Sony has also said they have added more detailed hair for players, a redesign of the 30 baseball stadiums, and what looks like a much more developed crowd. Sony has said that there will be more than 1,000 different crowd models, each composed of more than 10,000 polygons on PS4.
Judging by some of the screenshots below, it looks like Sony has indeed updated a lot, with the screenshots of the next gen gameplay looking absolutely stunning. Stay tuned to MaxLevel for any updates, and as soon as we have a solid release date for the PS4, we’ll post it!
