After recently announcing five new release dates for future films, it looks there’s no stopping Marvel.

According to Variety, Marvel has positioned a new film for May 4th, 2018, a spot vacated by Sony’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 4’.  As Sony reshuffles it’s Spider-Man franchise and WB in the baby stages of forming their DC Cinematic Universe, Marvel is seeming to maintain their clear vision, snatching up the date a mere hours after Sony’s Spidey move was announced.

Including the upcoming ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’, this puts the number of upcoming Marvel films over the next five years at a seemingly unbelievable TWELVE movies. The updated list is as follows, with the new film in bold:

  • Guardians of the Galaxy: August 1, 2014
  • Avengers: Age Of Ultron: May 1, 2015
  • Ant-Man: July 17, 2015
  • Captain America 3: May 6, 2016
  • Untitled Film: July 8, 2016
  • Untitled Film: May 5, 2017
  • Untitled Film: July 28, 2017
  • Untitled Film: November 3, 2017
  • Untitled Film: May 4, 2018
  • Untitled Film: July 6, 2018
  • Untitled Film: November 2, 2018
  • Untitled Film: May 3, 2019

With San Diego Comic-Con going on, we should see some of these mystery movies finally revealed. What characters are you hoping for Marvel studios to bring to the big screen? Let us know in the comments below.
