In Microsoft’s E3 press conference, they announced Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Like most remasters, this game is now in 1080p and 60 frames per second. The graphics and sounds were built from the ground up. I had to see this for myself so when they said that the beta was available, I rushed to register. I’ve been able to play a few matches here and there and it really brings back memories. There was a little jank here and there but we can blame that on this being a beta. Other than that, the game plays smooth and looks great. I can’t wait to get more into it when it comes out. If you play the beta now, there are some gun skins that you can unlock for the full retail version. Check out some footage of the game below. Please excuse some audio issues.
