Thanks to a recently leaked trailer, we can now confirm that a new Assassin’s Creed title will be releasing on November 11 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Previously codenamed Assassin’s Creed: Comet, in the newly leaked trailer (most likely intended for Gamescom), the games new name is shown off, as well as some very exciting information about the game; you will be playing as a Templar, exploring the Arctic, and will continue to see the mix of land and sea the Assassin’s Creed series has been exploring with their more recent titles. No timetable on when the game takes place, but it’s safe to assume it is a semi-sequel to Assassin’s Creed 4.
DLC also looks to be available for the game sometime after its release; in the trailer, the Ultimate Hunter Pack is shown off, offering players more guns, ship sails, and further customizations. Ubisoft has responded to the leak with the very typical “we do not comment on rumors and speculation”, but we do expect to see more at Gamescom.
