Like a referee whistle, Call Of Duty: Ghosts is making noise with plans to shut the game down later this year. Pretty much every rumor that has leaked out about the game up until is true, with the official release date for sure being November 5th on the 360, PC and PlayStation 3 (No Wii U announcement yet). The press release sent out today by Activision also mentioned that Ghosts will be running on an all new engine, which has been developed by the same people who made the engine the game’s been running on since Call Of Duty 2, Infinity Ward.
The question of whether the actual character Ghost from Modern Warfare 2 will have anything to do with this installment of Call Of Duty still remains to be seen. But judging by the trailer (which can be seen below), it appears the game is centered around the soldier arch-type “ghost” as opposed to the single character. Activision will be revealing the game, new engine and all, on May 21st during Microsoft’s unveiling of the next Xbox.
